Worth weighing

5 to weigh
  • Uphill walk to reach the hostel — The central location sits on a slope, and several guests mention being prepared for a bit of an uphill hike.
  • No pets and strict check-in window — The hostel does not allow pets, and check-in is only between 16:00 and 23:59, which may be inconvenient for early arrivals.
  • Comfort rating relatively lower — While rooms are often praised, the comfort category scores slightly below the overall average, suggesting variability in bed or dorm conditions.

“Spotless bedding and comfortable mattress, plenty of clean bathrooms, excellent central location, good breakfast, and a kitchen that's fully equipped. The building is a classic Portuguese style with lofty ceilings.”

“This is the best hostel I've ever experienced. There's a rooftop terrace with a superb view over the river and the bridge. The rooms are large and pleasant, and the beds are really comfortable. Staff were friendly and ready to help. The facilities are outstanding, with multiple common lounges and a garden complete with hammocks! The included breakfast was fine but nothing special. Train and bus stations are within walking distance.”

“Lisbon was even better thanks to this beautiful hostel. Stunning views, approachable staff, and cosy beds. It went beyond what I expected.”

8.3Verified guest

“I had a brilliant time at Lisb'On Hostel. The location was ideal, right in the middle of the nightlife yet close to public transport. The dorms were airy and spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the attractive building, especially the river views from the terrace. There was also a large dining room and common areas, great for meeting people. Breakfast offered a decent range of bread, ham, cheese, juice, coffee, and milk. The staff were kind and helpful, even letting me switch beds. A superb choice for solo visitors, especially women. Cons: I can't find any fault.”

8.3Verified guest

“We were impressed by the beautiful terrace with its ocean views. The open garden was a lovely spot to unwind, and the billiard table added extra entertainment. The location was ideal, but be ready for a bit of a climb uphill. Overall a great stay and we'd wholeheartedly recommend Lisb'On.”
